| 1999 | After shopping around unsuccesfully for an online music storefront, original company founder Bob Lee conceives the idea for storefronts preloaded with all music titles. |
| 2000 | Lee teams up with software entrepreneur Eimar Boesjes to create BuyMusicHere. |
| 2001 | Integration with music data, launch of the first stores. |
| 2003 | BuyMusicHere adds video data. CDF integration with AEC and SuperD. |
| 2003 | Total product count reaches more than one million titles. |
| 2005 | Books are added under the BookstoreHost brand. CDF integration with Baker & Taylor. BuyMusicHere is the first to offer custom storefronts with all CDs, DVDs and books in print in the US. |
| 2006 | The company is renamed to Moonshadow eCommerce, Inc. Integration with Monsoon allowing instant inventory synchronization between Moonshadow storefronts and Amazon, Half and others. Historic book data is added, product count reaches five million. |
| 2007 | Moonshadow receives a patent for Marketplace Technology. |
| 2008 | Marketplace Technology is developed allowing participating storefronts to fulfill orders for each other. Moonshadow releases QuickbeamSearch, the fastest book, CD, and DVD product search on the Internet. |
| 2009 | Product count reaches ten million. Moonshadow storefronts are adapated to the iPhone. Launch of the Moonshell iPhone development tool. |
